The first group of Ukrainian pilots undergoing training on F-16 fighters in the United States may complete training by the end of this year. This was stated by Lieutenant General Michael Law, director of the US Air National Guard.
Ukrainian pilots will arrive at the Morris National Guard base in Tucson before October. Here they will undergo a rigorous selection process, including testing their English language skills and assessing their qualifications and experience working with fighter aircraft. Depending on their skills, the training can be completed within three months. At the same time, Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots will be able to carry out combat missions later.
“As soon as they are given the go-ahead, they will come and immediately begin training,” Lieutenant General Lo emphasized, as quoted by the AP.
