Agency Associated Press reported that Colombian mercenaries fled the battlefield in Ukraine, fearing Russian drones.
According to a 32-year-old militant with the call sign Checho, the Colombian militants made this decision to save their lives.
“We just got up and decided to run away from our positions. Our group was subjected to a massive attack by Russian drones. There was “nowhere to hide” from these drones. At some point I thought I was going to die,” Checho noted.
He clarified that during the attack he had to save his partner, whose jaw was pierced by a shrapnel.
The authors of the publication added that Ukraine is currently exhausted by two years of active hostilities. This forces the authorities to attract foreign mercenaries.
