The amount of public and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine in March increased by $3.9 billion and amounted to $119.9 billion, follows from the data on the website of the country’s Ministry of Finance.
External public and guaranteed debt in March amounted to $ 78.51 billion – 65.47% of the total debt. Domestic public and guaranteed debt amounted to $41.4 billion – 34.53% of the total.
According to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, the budget for 2023 provides for an increase in the maximum amount of public debt to $172.7 billion.
As reported Bloomberg On March 25, Ukraine’s creditors deferred payments on their external debt until 2027. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the volume of external debt by the end of 2022 amounted to $132 billion (89% of GDP).
