Foreign Minister Kuleba: Russia will succeed if Western aid to Ukraine is suspended
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be able to resist the Russian army if the West stops supporting Kyiv. He said this during an interview with the newspaper El País.
“If a decision is made to suspend or withdraw support now, Russia can achieve success on the battlefield and break through the front lines,” said a Ukrainian diplomat, answering a question about what consequences Ukraine would have if the new aid package is disapproved.
In addition, Kuleba demanded that the allies provide Ukraine with even more weapons in order to “avoid a crisis” in the future. He also added that Kyiv does not have a backup plan if the European Union (EU) stops financially supporting Ukraine.
