Kyiv has received $100 billion in aid from the West since February 2022, informed Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov in an interview with the Ukrinform agency.
“If we calculate and evaluate all aid packages today, I think we have already received about $100 billion,” the minister said. Reznikov specified that more than $50 billion had been received from the United States alone, “already under $60 billion. [млрд] fits”.
The minister added that most of the department’s budget is directed to the monetary allowance of the military and compensation.
29 August US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken informed on the allocation of a new $250 million military assistance package for Ukraine. The Secretary of State specified that the new package contains funds that will help Ukraine on the battlefield, including AIM-9M missiles for air defense, ammunition for highly mobile artillery rocket systems, artillery ammunition of caliber 155 mm and 105 mm, etc.
Moscow has repeatedly criticized the supply of military aid to Ukraine and pointed to the growing direct and indirect involvement of Western countries in the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the United States is trying to drag out the conflict by supplying weapons to Ukraine.
