Ukraine plans to toughen responsibility for Russian-language songs

Ukrainian parliamentarians have prepared a bill providing for tougher penalties for performing songs in Russian in public places. The relevant document is published on website Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The bill provides for the introduction of fines for the use of phonograms, videograms and music videos of Russian-language music products.
For the first such offense, the fine will be from 300 to 500 tax-free minimums, for the second – from 1000 to 1500.
