The Ukrainian energy company DTEK is going to increase the import of electricity from the European Union to reduce the deficit within the country. This was reported in the telegram channel of the holding.
Last month, Ukraine imported 60 million kWh from the EU. There are plans to increase this figure to 1 billion kWh. Imports help to reduce the deficit in the country and reduce long outages.
“In the future, thanks to imports, the deficit in the energy system could potentially be reduced by almost half,” the report says.
