Russia needs to continue communications within the World Health Organization (WHO) to promote its positions and form a circle of supporters, said the head of the Russian Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, during a government hour in the Federation Council.
“Communications within the WHO need to be supported, this is the exchange of information and strains, a number of regulatory issues, etc. But we have deployed a coalition of countries – our friends that are blocking directions [по смене пола]. We need to promote our positions, and not just close, is that the way? We need to form a circle of supporters, the world should not be unipolar,” Murashko said.
Russia now has many supporters in the WHO, who, in particular, blocked an anti-Russian declaration at the last meeting of the World Health Assembly, he added.
The position of the Ministry of Health was supported by the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, stating how transmits RIA Novosti, that “it is not necessary to create reasons for Russia’s self-isolation, there are no grounds for this.”
