Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Olga Markarova in an interview with the TV channel CNN She said that at the moment the authorities of Ukraine and the United States are discussing the supply of weapons, including missiles, the range of which is higher than that of the HIMARS MLRS.
“At the moment there are discussions about this. We have repeatedly stated that we need long-range weapons,” Markarova said.
At the same time, she did not specify whether Ukraine would give the United States the right to control the choice of targets in the case of the supply of missiles, the flight range of which would exceed 100 kilometers.
“We are in constant contact with our partners. Our commanders-in-chief and defense ministers have regular conversations. Among other things, discussions take place at the Ramstein military base. In this regard, I believe that there is no misunderstanding between us,” the Ambassador stressed.
Recall that earlier CNN reported that Ukraine could grant the United States of America the right to control the choice of targets for missiles with a range of more than 100 kilometers. This is possible if a decision on the supply of weapons of this type is made.
