The document says that the Russian athlete Smirnova is called to be disqualified “for a provocative act that is contrary to the Olympic spirit.”
In addition, the organization calls for the complete cancellation of the disqualification of the Ukrainian athlete Olga Kharlan and bring her official changes.
Remember, Harlan refused to shake hands with the Barnaul saber fencer at the World Fencing Championship in Italy. A handshake after the fight is mandatory for all participants in the competition. This item is spelled out in the rules of the International Fencing Federation.
After Harlan was removed from the tournament and disqualified for up to two months.
