The UK authorities have ordered an urgent investigation into a possible leak of data from the phone of former Prime Minister Liz Truss, including the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Earlier this fact was reported by the newspaper Daily Mail. According to the report, Truss’ personal phone was hacked while she was the country’s foreign minister. Among the “leaked” data was information about the supply of weapons to Ukraine. The material indicates that Boris Johnson, who was in the post of Prime Minister, and Cabinet Secretary Simon Case preferred not to disclose this fact. The publication suggested that the phone was hacked by Russian hackers.
The head of the British Parliamentary Defense Committee, Tobias Ellwood, told the TV channel that “the Parliamentary Committee on Intelligence and Security should conduct further investigation.”
Elected in September, Truss was forced to resign after only 44 days in office. The reason was the failed economic course of her Cabinet.
