In September-October of this year, Ugra will for the first time hold a match of the regular season of the All-Russian Hockey League. It will be held in the open air at the Ugra-Athletics stadium in Khanty-Mansiysk, said Sergei Artamonov, director of the Ugra Department of Physical Culture and Sports.
The VHL decided to revive the tradition of holding such matches after a break of three years. It should be noted that such a game in the fresh air is the most spectacular, culminating event of the All-Russian Hockey League and is comparable to the KHL All-Star Game and the Youth Hockey League Challenge Cup.
According to the director of the district depsport, the organizers of the match will provide everything necessary for the game: boards, ice, an ice filling machine and other equipment.
The Ugra-Athletics stadium can accommodate up to 10,000 people in the stands. The facility was put into operation in 2006. The stadium is equipped with modern equipment for holding athletics competitions of Russian and international level.
