Ugra hosts the Russian Open Championship in mixed martial arts

Yesterday in Khanty-Mansiysk the Open Championship of Russia in mixed martial arts (MMA) started, which is held within the framework of an agreement between the government of Ugra and the Union of Mixed Martial Arts of Russia (MMA).
The competition was opened by the president of the MMA Union of Russia, multiple world champion in MMA (according to Rings, Pride, WAMMA) Fedor Emelianenko. “After the opening, we met with the students of the Almaz86 mixed martial arts club, who came to the tournament from Pyt-Yakh. Artem Yuzeev and Timofey Knyazev dreamed of seeing Fedor Emelianenko. Everything worked out, the children are happy,” Governor Natalya Komarova wrote on her social networks.
For three days, 137 athletes who have become the best in their regions will fight for the title of the country’s strongest fighter. Among the contenders for the victory – 13 Ugra residents.
