The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) did not include the Russian national team in the draw for the 2024-2025 Nations League. This follows from the report on the approval of the draw (.pdf).
54 countries will take part in the tournament. Based on the results of the League of Nations, teams will be selected that will qualify for the World Cup in 2026.
UEFA suspended Russian football players from participating in international competitions in February 2022 after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. 26 September 2023 UEFA admitted youth teams from Russia for international competitions in the 2023-2024 season. Then the executive committee of the association called for developing a mechanism for the restoration of Russian national teams under 17 years of age.
