UEFA closed the stands of the Ukrainian national team after a scandal with fans

The press service of the Union of European Football Associations released a statement stating the decision of the UEFA disciplinary committee to punish the Ukrainian Football Association for racist behavior of fans.
As stated in the document, the UAF will be issued a fine of 20 thousand euros.
In addition, fans will be able to attend the next home match of the Ukrainian national team with restrictions – part of the stands will be closed.
The basis for such a disciplinary measure was the racist behavior of fans at the 2024 European Championship qualifying match with Italy, the UEFA press service clarified.
