UCI may deprive the UK of cycling tournaments due to a ban on the entry of Russians

According to The Times, the President of the International Cycling Union, David Lapartian, sent a letter to the Minister of Sports of Great Britain, Stuart Andrew, in which he spoke about the possible consequences for the country if Russian athletes were banned from entering.
The document notes that this decision by London may reduce the chances of holding cycling competitions in Britain.
“We must express our concern that such measures may affect the future evaluation of UK applications to host UCI events,” Lapartian wrote.
