U.S. Senator Paul: Arms deliveries to Ukraine prevent peace talks from starting

US Senator Rand Paul believes that the supply of weapons to Kyiv, as well as absolutely “unrealistic” demands on Russia, do not start negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
The Senator from Kentucky expressed this opinion in an interview with The New York Sun.
“Ultimately, only Russia and Ukraine can decide when to start peace talks,” he said.
At the same time, the politician noted: “Unlimited weapons for Ukraine probably prevent them from entering into a dialogue.”
In addition, Paul said that “unrealistic” demands made on Russia could also “slow down the start of peace negotiations.”
Earlier, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that the Russian army was depleting missiles for the Patriot air defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
