Tyumen athletes successfully performed in Ural Federal District taekwondo competitions

The Tyumen taekwondo team won 21 medals at the Ural Federal District ITF Taekwondo Championship, which took place in Muravlenko from October 6 to 9. In total, 240 athletes from the Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and Tyumen regions, as well as the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs competed at the championship.
The Tyumen region was represented by 15 athletes. As a result of the competition, they earned eight gold, four silver and nine bronze medals.
Among the strongest Tyumen taekwondo athletes is Alina Malygina, she received a gold medal in the weight category up to 57 kg among women 18-34 years old, as well as gold in the formal complex of 15 exercises. Junior Ekaterina Zhukovskaya took first place in her weight and age category of 14-17 years and a complex of 12 exercises. Artyom Tkachev took first place in the formal complex of 15 exercises and in the weight category up to 75 kg among juniors 14-17 years old.
