two State Duma deputies from the LDPR may be deprived of their mandates – Kommersant

The State Duma is discussing the possible deprivation of mandates of LDPR deputies Yuri Napso and Boris Paikin, they report “Vedomosti” with reference to its own sources in the lower house of parliament. It is assumed that the reason for depriving parliamentarians of their parliamentary powers may be their systematic absence from meetings.

Both deputies “supported the LDPR for many years,” notes one of Vedomosti’s sources, but some colleagues have not noticed them at Duma events for a long time. At the same time, the timing of the possible deprivation of Yuri Napso and Boris Paikin’s deputy mandates has not yet been announced. The parliamentarians themselves did not comment on the situation.

Mr. Napso represents the Rostov region and the Krasnodar region in the State Duma, and is also the first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation. Boris Paikin is a member of the State Duma Committee on Physical Education and Sports, he represents the Saratov region and Moscow (at the same time, in 2021, Mr. Paikin was elected to the State Duma on the federal part of the LDPR list).

Previously, the State Duma deprived the deputy mandate of another LDPR representative Vasily Vlasov. At the same time, the representative of A Just Russia – For Truth, Vadim Belousov, who was convicted of bribery, was stripped of his parliamentary powers.
