Two Russian police officers caught stealing 26,000 packs of cigarettes

Two police captains, who took out 26,000 packs of cigarettes from the warehouse of material evidence, were detained by officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Omsk Region, the press service of the regional department reported.
Also, the detained policemen stole 64 bottles of vodka and 10 bottles of cognac. Cigarettes and alcohol were evidence in the case of the sale of unmarked products, they have been in the warehouse since the beginning of 2023.
According to preliminary data, the police arrived at the warehouse in cars, after which they loaded the products and left. They were detained while unloading. If their guilt is confirmed, they will be dismissed from the internal affairs bodies. It is planned to bring to strict disciplinary responsibility the employee who let the police into the warehouse, and their leader.
