In Sevastopol on Monday, November 13, two participants in a special military operation were seen off on their last journey – Guard Lieutenant Colonel Yan Aleksandrovich Sukhanov and Guard Private Artem Eduardovich Klyagin. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev spoke about this in his Telegram channel.
The mayor of the city said that Yan Sukhanov headed the headquarters of the 810th separate marine brigade of the Black Sea Fleet. His colleagues speak of him as a real officer, with a capital “O”—one can only dream of such a commander.
In Mariupol, Sukhanov was wounded, and during treatment he was diagnosed with an illness that prevented his recovery.
Artem Klyagin in July 2022 decided to go to defend his homeland, like his grandfather in the Great Patriotic War. The roots of the Klyagin family are in the Donbass, so he could not remain indifferent. Artem Klyagin heroically died near the village of Bezymennoye, Kherson region, saving the lives of his comrades while trying to evacuate the wounded from shelling.

Meanwhile, on the territory of the Ryazan Airborne School named after General Margelov, they installed busts of special operation heroes – Guard Major Alexei Osokin and Guard Senior Lieutenant Narmagomed Gadzhimagomedov.
On November 11, it also became known that another contract fighter from the Don region was mortally wounded during the SVO. 23-year-old Pavel Smirnov died near the village of Vodyanoye.
