Two Novgorod athletes Artem German and Elizaveta Raevskaya were awarded the title of Master of Sports of Russia. This is stated in the order of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
It is reported that Artem German is engaged in swimming at sports school No. 1 of Veliky Novgorod under the guidance of coach Elena Ivanova. The Novgorod resident fulfilled the standard for a master of sports in October 2023, covering the distance of 100 meters breaststroke in 1.25 minutes.
Elizaveta Raevskaya practices kayaking and canoeing at the Olympus Olympic Reserve Sports School under the guidance of coaches Nina Trofimova and Daria Lukina. The athlete fulfilled her standard in September last year, winning the 500-meter single kayak race at a competition in Krasnodar.
Previously “MK in Veliky Novgorod” reportedthat Novgorod judokas and sambo wrestlers won prizes at the championships of the Northwestern Federal District.
