At the festival of combat sports and martial arts held in Ulan-Ude, dedicated to the heroes of the Northern Military District, two coaches received the honorary title “Honored Coach of Russia.”
– Today, 11 pairs of titled athletes from Buryatia, regions of Russia, as well as fighters from Belarus, China, Mongolia and South Korea met in the ring in army hand-to-hand combat, ITF taekwondo, ITF taekwondo, freestyle wrestling, kickboxing, combat sambo, mixed martial arts ( MMA), Buryat national wrestling “buhe barildaan”, sumo, Muay Thai and universal fighting. Our athletes won all 11 fights,” said the Minister of Sports of Buryatia, Ivan Kozyrev.
The minister presented the honorary title “Honored Trainer of the Republic of Buryatia” to Muay Thai coach Vladimir Aleksandrovich Lomakin. Lomakin is the personal trainer of Russian Master of Sports Ekaterina Karnakova. In addition, the coach is a participant in a special military operation.
Also, by order of the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the honorary title “Honored Coach of Russia” was awarded to the senior judo coach, founder of the Ippon Olympic reserve sports school, Alexander Ivanovich Lelikov. He trained more than 40 masters of sports of Russia and famous athletes of Buryatia. In particular, his students are an international-class master of sports, Russian champion Anna Shcherbakova and an honored master of sports, multiple world champion in combat sambo and jiu jitsu Alexey Ivanov.
