Two Chuvash athletes became prize-winners of the Russian walking championship

Representatives of Chuvashia Daria Sergeeva and Elena Sergeeva became bronze medalists of the Russian Race Walking Championship.
The competition takes place in Sochi on February 27-28.
Daria Sergeeva finished third in the 10 km distance among juniors (U20). She covered the distance in 46 minutes 34 seconds. The winner in this discipline was Alesya Savonevskaya from Belarus (45 minutes 57 seconds), the silver medal was won by Sofia Panfilkina from Mordovia (46 minutes 22 seconds).
Elena Sergeeva competed in the 35 km distance among adults, her time was 3 hours 21 minutes 6 seconds. “Gold” was won by Klavdiya Afanasyeva from Mordovia (2:40:23), “silver” by Irina Musikhina from Udmurtia (3:02:06).
