Moscow region boxers won 5 medals at the Russian championship in Serpukhov. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.
Konstantin Opolsky from the Bogorodsky District became the champion in the weight up to 60 kg. He will represent our country at the European Championship among juniors in Baku. In the same weight, Danil Khoruzhy from Podolsk won gold.
The second place in the weight category up to 57 kg was taken by a boxer from Balashikha Rafik Amirkhanov. Bronze medals were won by Odinamukhammad Odinaev from Elektrostal in the weight up to 71 kg and Vladislav Komarov from Lyubertsy in the category over 92 kg.
The Russian boxing championship among juniors aged 19-22 took place last week in Serpukhov at the Nadezhda Sports Palace. More than 250 strongest athletes from 59 Russian regions took part in the competition. 17 athletes competed from the Moscow region team. The total prize fund of the tournament amounted to more than 18 million rubles.
