Twitter allowed unregistered users to read tweets – Kommersant

Microblogging service Twitter has canceled the mandatory authentication for viewing the feed of the social network. Now posts on the platform can again be read by unregistered users. This is reported techcrunch.
Twitter lifted the restrictions a few days after they were introduced, as well as on the day release the Threads application, which is a Twitter clone from Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). Twitter has not officially announced the new policy changes.
Previously, Twitter drew criticism when banned browsing Twitter to unregistered users. The company also limited the number of tweets available for viewing. Users began to switch to similar platforms, as a result of which, for example, Bluesky was forced to stop accepting new members due to technical limitations.
