Twitch management announced during the TwitchCon gaming conference in Las Vegas that the service will allow users to stream simultaneously on Twitch and other social networks. Among them are YouTube, TikTok and Instagram (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is blocked), reports Gizmochina.

According to the portal, the innovations are likely a “calculated risk” that the service took to retain the best streamers. This is especially true for mid-tier content creators who may be considering moving to other platforms due to money concerns. By providing “more flexible options” for broadcasting, Twitch actually expands its audience reach, as streamers can attract viewers on different platforms and “potentially lure them back to Twitch,” Gizmochina says.

Since October Twitch added new format – Stories. By data MegaFon, in 2023, traffic to popular streaming platforms in Russia increased 1.5 times. Twitch competes with the Chinese Trovo and the Russian VK Play, which recently appeared on the market.
