TV channel TV2 reported that in one of the schools in the Danish city of Helsingor, refugees from Ukraine made a scandal because of a teacher who has Russian roots.
It is specified that the incident occurred in early February. In Denmark, two teachers usually work in refugee reception rooms. The lesson for Ukrainian refugees was conducted by two teachers at once: one Danish and one Danish-Russian.
“During the lesson, two Ukrainian students committed a “rude trick” to a teacher with Russian roots. After the lesson, the teachers turned to the school administration. The Danish teacher expressed anger, indignation and disappointment because of the behavior of the children,” the TV channel notes.
After that, the head teacher held a conversation with schoolchildren and their parents. In response, the parents of these children wrote a letter in which they said they did not want their children to be taught by a teacher with Russian roots.
According to one of the Ukrainians, inviting such a teacher to work with Ukrainian children is “disrespectful to all Ukrainians.” In turn, the educational institution refused to change the teacher who was assigned to this class, saying that the teacher had lived in Denmark for more than 30 years.
