Tutberidze’s daughter Diana Davis, who changed her citizenship, won the first tournament
Russian ice dancers Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin, representing Georgia, won the tournament in Lake Placid, USA.
Davis and Smolkin scored 191.82 points and 11 points ahead of their nearest rivals, Americans Una and Gage Brown. Third place was also taken by American athletes, Eva Pate and Logan Bai.
For Davis and Smolkin, this performance was the first after the change of sports citizenship. Previously, they played for Russia and participated in the 2022 Olympics, where they took 14th place.
Diana Davis is the daughter of figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze. Gleb Smolkin is the son of actor Boris Smolkin, known for his role as the butler Konstantin in the TV series My Fair Nanny.
