The Turkish authorities have decided to transfer thief in law Viktor Panyushin, better known in criminal circles as Vitya Pan, to Russia, RBC reports, citing the Turkish publication Haberturk.
It is noted that Panyushin was detained on the territory of the unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and has since been held in prison. According to plans, first the TRNC authorities will assign the thief in law the status of an illegal migrant, therefore he will be transferred to Turkey, and then Panyushin will be sent to Russia.
Panyushin has had the status of thief in law since 2000; he has 9 serious crimes, including murder. Finding himself on the Wanted List, he fled to Ukraine, where he received documents from that country, and moved to Northern Cyprus. He was later detained for using false documents.
