Türkiye may soon ratify Sweden’s NATO membership

As Ben Cardin, head of the US Senate for International Relations, told reporters, the Turkish authorities may soon ratify Sweden’s accession to NATO.
According to him, discussion of this issue is scheduled for mid-October.
“The issue of Sweden joining NATO was discussed with Turkish officials at a meeting of NATO ambassadors. They claim that this will be done in the first half of October… If this is true, then at least the issue with NATO has been resolved,” he said.
