Turkish builders sue Latvia

New circumstances have become known about the scandalous expulsion of two Turkish construction companies IC Içtaş Inşaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.Ş. and Doğuş İnşaat Ve Ticaret A.Ş. from participation in the large-scale Rail Baltica project. Builders are suing the Latvian Procurement Supervision Bureau, pointing out in the lawsuit that this decision is politically motivated.
According to representatives of the association, the exclusion of Turkish companies from the competition occurred despite the fact that they submitted the most economically advantageous proposal – the difference in the amount was half a billion euros. However, the contract went to a European company.
It should be noted that the Turkish holding IC, together with the Russian Titan-2, is building the first Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey by order of Rosatom.
