Turkey tests new Bayraktar drone with autonomous takeoff and landing

A new VTOL unmanned aerial vehicle has been tested in Turkey. This is a development of Baykar, Anadolu agency reports.
The Bayraktar drone has successfully reached an operational altitude of 8,000 feet.
The UAV is planned to be put into service this year. The device, as noted, has the capabilities of autonomous and semi-autonomous flight. Also, the creators made it possible to take off and land offline. A tactical drone can perform intelligence gathering tasks.
The created UAV will be based on the landing ship TCG Anadolu, which is considered the flagship of the Turkish Navy.
