One ship with grain was unable to leave the Ukrainian port in Chornomorsk due to weather conditions. About this Ministry of National Defense of Turkey reported on Twitter.
“The ship, which was supposed to leave the port of Chernomorsk today to supply grain, could not leave due to bad weather and weather conditions at sea,” the message says. It is noted that the other two dry cargo ships that left on Wednesday continue their movement. Also, in the ports of Ukraine, other ships are being loaded.
On July 22, representatives of Turkey and the UN signed separate agreements with representatives of Russia and Ukraine on the export of Ukrainian grain, as well as on assistance in the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. On July 27, the Joint Coordination Center for the export of grain began its work in Istanbul.
According to the document, the parties agreed to create a safe corridor across the Black Sea, along which ships with grain should be escorted by Ukrainian pilots. Representatives of Ukraine, Turkey and the UN act as observers and monitor the loading.
On August 3, as part of the “grain deal”, the first dry cargo ship Razoni left the port of Odessa. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on August 7 and 8, 6 more ships with food left the ports of Ukraine. On August 9, the Joint Coordinating Center allowed the departure of two ships from Chernomorsk. One of them is heading to Incheon, Republic of Korea, and the second one is heading to Istanbul.
