Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrey Turchak informedthat the issue of deferment from mobilization for fathers of three or more children has been “worked out” with the Ministry of Defense. According to him, the directive of the General Staff, issued in October, continues to operate.

“We worked out this issue with the Ministry of Defense in order to stop all speculation on this topic,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Postponement canceled due to partial mobilization activities completed, reported in the Presidential Human Rights Council (HRC). State Duma deputy Nina Ostanina announced the cancellation of the postponement. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on this information, said that the Kremlin did not know anything about this.

Ms. Ostanina previously reported that the Russian Defense Ministry had reversed its previous decision. We are talking about the cancellation of the paragraph of the directive of the General Staff of October 4, 2022 on delays in the partial mobilization of fathers of large families with three children. According to the deputy, the department sent the relevant document to the military commissariats at the end of December. In turn, the hotline of the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the deferment for fathers with four children remains. In HRC explained the abolition of the deferment from mobilization for fathers with many children by its completion.

On September 21, the President of the Russian Federation announced a partial mobilization in the country. On October 31, Vladimir Putin announced its completion. There was no official decree on the completion of mobilization.
