Secretary of the United Russia General Council and Senator Andrei Turchak suggested painting portraits of participants in a special operation in Ukraine on school walls. He stated this at a meeting on the school overhaul program. According to the official, in cities and towns, children should know about fellow countrymen-heroes of the SVO.
In addition to the heroes of the special operation, Turchak suggested that during the repair of schools, portraits of participants in the Great Patriotic War and historical figures who were directly related to these educational institutions or settlements be applied to the walls. And the schools themselves are named after them.
According to Turchak, such work is already underway in some regions. The official suggested extending this experience to the whole of Russia.
“Before our eyes, feats are being accomplished, new heroes are being born. It is right that in the cities and towns where our heroes were born and raised, people know about them, ”said Turchak.
