Elena Allenova from Tula won the World Sambo Cup. The competitions took place in Armenia, reports the press service of the International Sambo Federation.
In the final, the Tula athlete took first place in the 80 kg weight category. She defeated Ukrainian sambist Galina Kovalski. The Russian team participated in competitions under the flag of the International Sambo Federation and under their anthem.
The Russian team took first place in the team medal standings of the World Sambo Cup. Russian athletes won 17 gold medals.
