Tula residents became the first at the All-Russian competitions in underwater sports

Tula athletes return home with medals from the All-Russian underwater sports competition. They took place among men, women, as well as boys and girls in the categories of 14-17 and 12-13 years. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Sports.
Our region was represented by students of the Regional Integrated Sports School of the Olympic Reserve. Thus, Dmitry Blinov was awarded two gold medals at distances of 50 and 100 meters, and Elizaveta Khandelyants became a bronze medalist, swimming 50 meters with fins.
Dmitry Blinov also won 1st place at a distance of 100 meters, and 2nd place at distances of 50, 200 and 400 meters in classic fins.
“In the mixed 4×50 m relay with fins, the Tula region team consisting of Dmitry Blinov, Valeria Rogova, Zakhara Akimov, Elizaveta Handelyans won a gold medal,” the regional department added.
Participants competed in several disciplines at once:
– swimming with fins;
– swimming with classic fins;
– diving.
It is clarified that Tula athletes trained under the guidance of L.V. Tikhonova, O.F. Sennikova, M.Yu. Vasilyeva.
In total, more than 300 athletes from 13 regions of Russia took part in the competition.
