Tula athletes won gold at the Russian Open Water Swimming Championship

From 4 to 10 September, the Russian Open Water Swimming Championship was held in the Krasnodar Territory. More than 100 strongest swimmers from 18 constituent entities of the Russian Federation arrived at the sporting event. From the Tula region, athletes of the regional team went to the competitions, who performed at these starts with the support of the Center for Sports Training of National Teams.
Tula athletes managed to demonstrate the following results:
– 1st place – Roman Sulev at a distance of 10 km.
– 4th place – Vladislav Utrobin at a distance of 10 km.
– 4th place – Fedor Matveev at a distance of 25 km.
The national team of the Tula region also won silver in the relay swimming 4×1250 meters. The lineup includes Elizaveta Anufrieva, Roman Sulev, Anastasia Kuznetsova, Fedor Matveev.
In the team standings, the team of the region has gold – 178.8 points. Athletes are coached by Olga Popkova and Andrey Popkov.
