Trutnev promised to replace vice-rectors of universities where there are no patriotic circles

Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far East Yuri Trutnev visited the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). At a meeting with students, he said that vice-rectors for educational work who did not organize a patriotic association at the university would be removed from their posts.

According to Yuri Trutnev, the patriotic movement should be in every higher educational institution in Russia “and certainly” in every higher educational institution in the Far East. He promised to gather vice-rectors for educational work of the universities of the Far East on the evening of June 5 and check their work.

“And I’ll be honest: for me, whether there are patriotic associations at the university will be, so to speak, a passing exam. Now, if such an association does not exist and will not be created in the very near future, we will look for another vice-rector, ”said Mr. Trutnev (quoted by TASS).

Assistant Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev Nail Mukhitov saidthat in the conditions of a military operation there is a great need for agitators, propagandists and political workers who could explain to young people the reasons for the start of a special operation. The authorities are also considering the introduction of the flag-raising ceremony in universities and the performance of the national anthem in universities. However, the Ministry of Education refused from this innovation.
