Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss has announced her intention to run as an MP for South West Norfolk in the next election. This is reported by the Independent edition, referring to the representative of the ex-premier.
According to the British media, Truss does not intend to make official statements about this yet. By Monday evening, all Tory MPs will have to inform their party headquarters about whether they are going to take part in the elections.
Recall that in October, Liz Truss was forced to resign due to the large amount of criticism that fell on her because of the new plan to support the economy. She held her post for only 44 days, breaking the anti-record for the duration of her tenure. After her, Rishi Sunak became prime minister.
