British Prime Minister Liz Truss intends during an online meeting of G7 leaders to take the initiative to convene an emergency summit of NATO member countries against the backdrop of Russian missile strikes on a number of facilities in Ukraine.
According to the head of the British Cabinet, international support for Ukraine contrasts sharply with the isolation of Russia in the international arena.
“No one wants peace more than Ukraine … And we must not weaken one iota in our resolve to help them win,” Truss said in a speech prepared for the event.
It should be noted that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky will also take part in the online meeting, among other things, further strengthening of sanctions pressure on Russia, as well as energy security issues, will be discussed.
