“No,” Trump replied.
The former US president also talked about American democracy: he said that he likes this system, but not the way it works in the United States. He affirmed that democracy “is the most effective form of government,” but added that it should be a “fair democracy,” which in his country is not currently that.
The politician connected this assessment with the charges brought against him for improper handling of secret documents. In addition, Trump is dissatisfied with “tough” questions from the press.
“We need free and fair media. And frankly, if there aren’t any, it’s very, very difficult to clean up our country,” he said.
The former president also said in an interview that he had nothing to do with the Republicans’ attempts to declare head of state Joe Biden impeachment.
