The Solntsevsky Court of Moscow has sentenced a 45-year-old KamAZ driver who killed a 10-year-old girl to death.
As MK previously reported, the tragedy occurred on November 21 on Rodnikovaya Street. The driver of the truck mixer did not give way to a schoolgirl rushing to class. She crossed the road at a pedestrian crossing to catch a bus. The man did not notice her and hit her. The girl died from her injuries. The examination proved that the driver could have prevented the accident.
According to the press service of the Moscow prosecutor’s office, taking into account the position of the public prosecutor of the Solntsevo Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office, he sentenced the driver to 2 years and 2 months in prison in a colony-settlement, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for a period of 2 years.
