Travel on the MCD will rise in price from October 1

The fare on the MCD, as well as on electric trains and on public transport in the Moscow region, will change from October 1. This was reported in the Committee on Prices and Tariffs of the Moscow Region.

Fares were last raised on January 1, 2022. From October 1, the cost of travel on the MCD, as well as on trains, buses, trolleybuses, trams and minibuses in the Moscow Region, will increase again.

The cost of a trip within the MCD when paying with a Troika card will be 60 rubles (now – 56 rubles). Further, for each zone in the Moscow region – the length of one zone is 10 kilometers – you will need to pay an additional 29 rubles (now – 27 rubles).

In the Moscow region, when buying a paper ticket, a passenger will pay 68 rubles for a trip in the city (now – 64 rubles). In suburban traffic, the cost of a trip will increase by 5-6 rubles for every 2.5 kilometers.

Paying with a contactless bank card is much more profitable, but the tariff will also grow. It will amount to 44 rubles in urban traffic (now – 41 rubles) and will also increase by 5 – 6 rubles as you move away from any city near Moscow.

When paying with Strelka and Troika cards, the cost of one trip will be 43 rubles 24 kopecks in urban traffic (now – 40 rubles 41 kopecks), then the cost will increase by 5.45 – 5.48 rubles for every 2.5 kilometers from 1 to 10 trip. Further, the existing reduction factor will apply.

“The discount that is provided to passengers and depends on the number of trips accumulated in the billing period using Strelka and Troika transport cards will not change and will amount to 7-14-21-28-35% of the initial fare for every 10 trips. For holders of the “student” card, starting from the 36th trip, the discount will be 99%, ”the Committee on Tariffs and Prices of the Moscow Region recalled.

The discount for travel on preferential transport cards will remain at the same level of 50%. Accordingly, the cost of a trip along them will be 21 rubles 62 kopecks in urban traffic (now – 20 rubles 21 kopecks) and will increase by 2.73 – 2.74 rubles for every 2.5 km in suburban traffic.

But the prices for unlimited travel cards will remain the same: a travel card for 30 days will also cost 2,800 rubles, for 90 days – 7,250 rubles, for 365 days – 24,450 rubles.

Recall that since June 2022, ground transport in the Moscow region has ceased to accept cash. You can pay for the fare using Strelka or Troika cards, as well as social and bank cards.
