Transneft” discovered explosive devices at the Novozybkov oil pumping station (NPS) of the Druzhba pipeline in the Bryansk region, informs TASS with reference to the official representative of the Russian company Igor Demin.

“Indeed, explosive devices were found on the territory of the Novozybkov oil pumping station yesterday evening and this morning in destroyed plastic cases of non-industrial production with a striking warhead in the form of steel balls. Presumably, the destruction of the hulls occurred after hitting the ground when falling from drones,” Demin told the agency.

The official representative of Transneft added that today, March 15, at noon, it was also seen how from a UAV [беспилотный летательный аппарат] dropped another explosive device.

“The nature of the warhead – metal balls – suggests that the organizers of the sabotage did not intend to destroy the object, but to kill people from among the civilian personnel serving the Druzhba oil pipeline station,” Demin said.

According to him, the Novozybkov PS was not affected, and investigations are underway. Demin noted that throughout the current year, the oil pumping station does not sell oil, the tank farm is empty.

This is not the first such case. February 1 Demin informedthat on the evening of January 31, an attempt was made to shell the NPS Novozybkov. There were no casualties in the incident, he said. By information RIA Novosti, a shell fired from Ukraine fell in a field near the village of Mamai, located in the Novozybkovsky urban district of the Bryansk region.
