New Year’s holidays are a great time for sports. Snowboard rental organizer, Ski service master and snowboard instructor Evgeniy Mikhailov told MK in Chita how to choose the right clothes for active recreation.
“When choosing clothes for winter recreation, it is better to adhere to the principle of multi-layering. The first layer we put on is synthetic thermal underwear. It fits tightly to the body, its task is to wick away moisture and stay dry. The second layer is fleece jackets and pants. Their job is to retain heat. We put on a snowboard suit on top. Such suits are made from membrane materials; they protect from wind, sleet or even rain, but at the same time allow moisture to be wicked away from the body,” said the portal’s interlocutor.
Mandatory attributes of a snowboarding suit are the presence of snow cuffs, a windproof skirt, a pocket for a ski pass (a card on which the number of entries to the ski slope is recorded – editor’s note) and a mask.
“By insulating yourself in this way, you will not only be able to protect yourself from the cold and wind, but will also look stylish,” concluded the instructor.
