Sofia Saraeva from the Trans-Baikal Territory won a bronze medal at the Russian boxing championship among athletes 15-16 years old, which took place in the Tver region. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.
Saraeva defeated rivals from the Volgograd region and St. Petersburg in three fights, but lost to a representative from the Chelyabinsk region.
The Transbaikal girl joined the main roster of the Russian national team. In total, 524 athletes from 72 regions fought for this right.
