Athletes from Transbaikalia successfully performed at international competitions in freestyle and women’s wrestling from March 10 to March 12 in Yakutsk, winning three medals. The tournament was dedicated to the memory of the Olympic champion, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, Honored Coach of Russia, the USSR Roman Dmitriev. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.
“Our guys did not have time to take prizes, but they are already preparing for the Russian championship among athletes under 21 years old. Competitions will be held in Yakutsk on April 10-12, ”the judges were quoted in the message.
Tamir Yeshinimaev won gold, Chingis Balzhimaev won silver, and Arsalan Balzhinimaev took bronze.
The competition was attended by 260 athletes from 12 countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, India, Greece, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Moldova, as well as from 27 regions of the Russian Federation.
