Traktor’s head coach has two assistants

Now Anvar Gatiyatulin’s assistants are Andrey Sokolov and Igor Efimov. They replaced Alexei Chikalin and Alexei Tertyshny, the press service of the hockey team reports.
Andrey Sokolov was at Traktor in the 2017/18-2019/20 seasons. He has also worked with other KHL clubs. In addition, the specialist was the head coach of the Khanty-Mansiysk Yugra. Sokolov’s duties include working with defenders.
Igor Efimov was the head coach of the Russian U18 team. He was a member of the coaching staff of the junior and second (Olympic) Russian national teams. In the Chelyabinsk club, he will be responsible for working with forwards and the attack in general.
“The current state of affairs of Traktor in the standings does not suit anyone: neither the management nor the fans. We have decided to strengthen the coaching staff,” commented Ivan Savin, general director of the club.
He also added that Sokolov knows how to put the game in the minority, and Yefimov is experienced in working with young players. Both specialists will be useful to the coaching staff.
